ICT has conducted Social Impact Assessment (SIA) studies for large infrastructure projects in diverse sectors viz., highways, expressways, airports, multipurpose dams, urban development, etc. for providing inputs at the feasibility and detailed design stages to minimize adverse social impacts on the people and communities. In addition, resettlement action plans have also been prepared for resettling and rehabilitating the adversely affected people, when a project involves land acquisition and involuntary resettlement.

ICT has a dedicated team of qualified and experienced professionals with extensive experience in the field of applied sociology, social development, Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) planning, socio-economic surveys, stakeholder consultations, institutional support for resettlement works, compensation for land acquisition, assessment of economic satisfaction of people being resettled, poverty assessment, gender studies and studies on land holding pattern, etc. Services provided by ICT include:

ICT is committed to sustainable development and has established a dedicated Environment Division for carrying out environmental studies. The Environment Division has highly qualified and experienced professionals in key functional areas viz., Air pollution, Water Pollution, Noise Pollution, Soil & Geology, Hazardous and Solid Waste Management, Land Use etc. ICT is accredited with NABET as Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) consultant.

ICT has successfully completed several challenging assignments of EIA/EMP in India and abroad. ICT has extensive experience in Environment Management during implementation of the projects, particularly for Roads & Highways, Airports, Public Health Engineering, Water Supply, and Buildings projects. ICT has obtained numerous Environmental Clearances from Ministry of Environment & Forest (MoEF), Forest Clearances from State Governments and MoEF, Wildlife Clearances from National & State Wildlife Boards, and CRZ clearances from various CRZ authorities. Many of these projects undertaken by ICT were funded by leading international funding agencies viz., World Bank, Asian Development Bank, JICA, African Development Bank, KfW and Abu Dhabi Fund.
