Institutional Strengthening is another area where ICT has core expertise. The professional services offered by ICT in this sector are: Formulation of Policy Frame Work, Administrative and Legislative Reforms, Organizational and Financial Restructuring, Implementation Strategies, O&M procedures and Benefit Monitoring & Evaluation.

As part of the capacity building activity, ICT has carried out training as an integral part of the project requirement for many clients worldwide, including Mongolia, Ethiopia and Bangladesh. We have trainers in diverse areas such as, Highway Design, Bridge design, Project Management, Contract Management, Information Technology, Urban Utilities, Surveying, Environmental and Social studies. In addition, ICT conducts training programs, workshops and seminars in association with various institutions, to promote knowledge sharing and capacity building. ICT provides facility for Industrial training to professionals from institutions such as, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from USA, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Regional Engineering Colleges (REC), and other leading institutions. ICT partners in the Staff Exchange Program of the World Bank for interchange of experts between the two organizations for development of skill and transfer of technology. During the last two years, ICT has trained around 1350 persons and conducted over 200 training programs. The Training Division is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment and teaching aids. It networks with other academic institutions such as, IITs and Research Laboratories of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), in carrying out its training and developmental activities.
